Michael Anthony Rodger was born in La Mesa, California in 1974, the only child of his adoptive mother Mary Jean Rodger. Born during the Vietnam war era, his Biological mother was faced with a decision to keep or adopt after his father while serving in the war departed from her life, with a Dear John letter before his return home from the war. In 1989, Michael’s adoptive mother Mary Jean (“Jeanie”) passed from a 5 year battle with Cancer.

Raised in the San Diego, Suburban City of La Mesa, Michael attended school at Vista La Mesa Elementary. Where he found enjoyment in both the La Mesa United Soccer League and the Vista La Mesa Little League. Playing many positions, Michael always gravitated to the Catcher and Goal Keeper positions. In 4th Grade, Michael joined the La Mesa Mixed Youth Basketball league, due to his height, and the belief of his skills. For the next 4 years, Michael would Play Centre for one of the leagues most revered team. A member of a State Champion Little League team, an attendee of the Little League world series. Michael was a starter at any sport he played, his determination came with awards and accolades in whatever he did.

After moving from La Mesa, he spent his last year in the Warner Springs / Ranchita area of San Diego County. Living with 2nd cousins, his adoptive mother not miles away lay passing in a personal care home not feet away from the hospital, which he was born. His final year in San Diego saw him playing for Warner Spring Junior High Basketball Team before his mother died in in May of 1989.

July 1989 Michael moved to a small community north of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. Although a farming community, Michaels Aunt, and Uncle had purchased a Pine tree farm in Community of Argyle, an hour north of the city of Winnipeg. For the next three years, Michael would attend Stonewall Collegiate Institute for High School, before Finishing his High schooling at the University of Winnipeg, with understudies thereafter. Michael graduated from Herzing College in 1999, from the computer sciences program.

In 1994, Michael’s first son Jonathan Michael was born.   In 2001, Sara-Anne Kathrine was born and in 2008 Adam Joseph was born.

In 1999, after graduation, Michael took a position with Ikon office solutions as a Junior IT integration specialist, a Young family at hand, the term at Ikon ended quickly leaving hard times for the young family.   A few months after large layoffs at Ikon, Michael was able to secure a job with NAC Manufacturing overseeing the development and growth of the company’s Future IT needs.

In his first few months with NAC, Michael was tasked with the development of a corporate campus network. With no previous network, a limited number of computers, during the 8 years with NAC.   Michael built a multi-server, internet connected network environment, with one of the first Mill working companies in North America to have the ability to offer their contractors and subcontractors with integrated remote access to all resources provided in the internal IT network.

In 2007, after the Sale of NAC to a Calgary based Construction firm, months before the firm closed. Michael took a job with Nebula Systems Ltd. A Winnipeg based firm with sights in the US market.   A small-time innovator in medical science technologies. Nebula Systems primary business group focused on the small and home business sector of technology, with plans for expansion in the United States to support it’s Neuron Technologies division. Michael quickly rose above the crowd to sit as corporate General Manager of Technology and the President of the US branches.

During which time, he built the Yunask Internet Marketing and Small Business Internet Web team. Marketing developments company that working within the confines of affordability for the small business market.  Leading many different Web Marketing efforts, Michael finally landed the chance to hold a term contract with a North American hospitality chain. Working directly with bars and restaurants within the chain, the contract afforded Yunask Internet Marketing the chance to build solid business connections within the United States. Yunask and Neural One were bought out in 2014, and Michael was tasked with closing out the 4 offices of Nebula Systems in Canada and the United States.

In 2014 Michael joined the Small Firm of Conexion networks, where he has been employed as a Senior IT Specialist in Small business and desktop support. In 2016, Connexion networks joined Prophet Business Group.

Michael’s dedication to the clients he serves, the businesses he has run, and the owners he has worked with has shown through with his never faulting determination to grow and develop technology use within the small business and home office businesses throughout North America.
